Woody and Shleep are Tomata mechanical toy sets inspired by automata - mechanic principles that help children visualise how computer programming operates. Each set aims to trigger logical thinking and inspire young engineering minds. The body is the control unit of the toy, this is where the gear fits in. Every animal shares the same body, so feel free to swap around. These TOMATA mechanical toy sets contain four gears on a wooden tray, a Woofy or Shleep head and a TOMATA body. Their ears move when you insert the gear into the body. You can change the gears to see their different expressions. Perfect for Montessori based play!
The Brand
TOMATA was developed from a thesis project by the founder, Fay, who has created a unique way to play, fun installation & innovative toys that promote STEM learning including mechanical design, physical coding and robot-making. The ultimate goal is to spark the young innovative minds with tactile and tangible stem play.
